When Assyrians threaten Jerusalem, Hezekiah prays to God and God delivers Judah in a miraculous way. What prepared Hezekiah for this national crisis was a crisis in his own life. After he experienced God’s grace, Hezekiah developed a habit of worshipping and praying to God every day at the temple. Those who trust God, pray to God. And the practice of prayer prepares us to trust God in a bigger crisis.
