Jesus lived an extremely busy life, and yet it was his habit to withdraw to a lonely place and pray to the Father in the morning and in the evening. The cornerstone of Jesus’ ministry was his prayer life. God’s power was released in Jesus as he sought intimacy with his father and depended on him. To grow and be like Christ, we have to seek intimacy with God in solitude and learn to depend on Him more and more.
