Imagine yourself to be the paralyzed person in the story. Which one would be more important to you? To be healed of your paralysis or to be forgiven of your sins? Jesus’ priority was forgiveness. The whole point of healing was to have people put their faith in Jesus so that people can be forgiven and enter into a relationship with him.
