Christian life would be impossible to live in our own strength. God sent the Paraclete to dwell in us so that we can be empowered to live the Christian life. How can we be filled with the Spirit? We receive the Spirit by faith, not by works. And we continue to receive the Spirit by the same faith. When we confess our sins and believe the gospel, we are filled with the Spirit. And the Spirit will pour out God’s love into our hearts and empower us to produce the fruit for God’s glory. Today, let us recommit ourselves to live by the Spirit.
