July 31: “Eat Together” (Luke 5:27-31)

In order to reach the lost, the Son of Man came “eating and drinking.” Jesus ate and befriended people who were excluded by the religious leaders of his day. We bless others by eating and enjoying friendship with them. Eating together is a good way to show hospitality and build relationships. Invite those you pray for out for coffee or lunch. Better yet, invite them for a meal at your house. Jesus was a friend of sinners. We are to be friends of sinners as well.
