The healing of a man with leprosy occurs in two stages.
The first is his physical healing with a touch. The second stage is showing his new condition to the Priest, as the law required. This second part was needed for the restoration of shalom, because he was socially isolated. The story also reflects the good news of who God is: God is both able and willing. The Almighty God is compassionate.
When we pray, let us pray with a firm faith that God is both powerful and good.
