June 14: “The Fruit of Self-Control” (Titus 2:11-14, Romans 12:1)

We need to exercise self-control in all areas of our lives—our speech, emotions, thoughts, and bodily desires. How can we become more self-controlled? Since there is a limit to our willpower, we need outside help.
First, we need the help of the Holy Spirit: we need to be in view of God’s grace and offer our bodies to God daily to let Jesus rule over us.
Second, we need the help of other believers: we need to make ourselves accountable.
