Psalm 16 points to Jesus as the Resurrection and the Life. David believed God’s promise that one of his descendants would reign forever. Seeing what was to come, David spoke about the resurrection of the Messiah. Psalm 16 points to Jesus’ promise that those who believe in him will live eternally. (John 11:25 & 10:28).
In His promise, we find the assurance of our salvation. Just as David found his security in God, we can find our eternal security in Jesus Christ. Are we placing our trust in God as David did?
